We made some noise in Half Term!
Following on from the success of Legends and Lights came another week of workshops all about rhythm, instruments and music!
There was something for everyone, with activities suitable for all ages and all abilities each day.
Here’s what happened in the week:
Tue 29 May 10am – 12 noon or 2 – 4pm
Artists: Charles Craggs & Royal Birmingham Conservatoire students Miriam Kitchener and Harry Bent
Join Charles Craggs, recently seen as the Mockingbird in our production Hansel & Gretel, as you explore sound through different percussion instruments. Experience the beat of Brazil with a samba workshop taught by Miriam Kitchener and Harry Bent.
Thu 31 May 10am – 12 noon or 2 – 4pm
Artists: Sophie Handy & Daz Adderley
First in this session, you will first get to craft a variety of different musical instruments with Sophie Handy. Next you will get to explore the joys of making music with your self-made instrument taught by the multi-talented musician Daz Adderley.
Fri 1 Jun 10am – 12 noon
Artists: Daz Adderley & Bongo Damo
In this session we invite all previous participants to come back with their crafted musical instruments to join Daz Adderley and Bongo Damo in being members of the very first Loud & Legendary Hippodrome One-Day Orchestra.
