We cannot wait to welcome you back to Birmingham Hippodrome.
Here is some essential information you may need to plan for your visit to the theatre. We also have alot of information on our FAQ page.
Tickets will be emailed to you prior to your visit and will also be available to view from your Birmingham Hippodrome online account, approximately 2 weeks prior to your visit. Be ready with your E-tickets on arrival, displayed on your mobile device with the screen brightness turned up. You may be asked to show them on a few occasions so please keep them to hand. If you are unable to access tickets digitally, please contact our ticket sales team on our post-purchase line, 0121 689 1070.
All payments throughout the building will be contactless and completely cashless.
Please note that for your security, on occasions we may carry out bag searches on arrival at the venue. Please only bring small bags that can fit under your seat as our cloakroom is currently unavailable. Larger bags/suitcases over 40 x 25 x 25cm will not be permitted for safety reasons.
Latecomers will be admitted at an appropriate moment in the production and may have a significant delay in being seated.
Filming and Photography
Please leave your mobile phones and cameras in your bag during the performance. Any kinds of audio or video recording and photography are not allowed, can be hugely distracting to live performers, and inconsiderate to other patrons. Signs will indicate if authorised photography or filming is taking place during your visit in the foyers or auditorium. If you don’t wish to be featured, please inform a Duty Manager.
Food & Drink
Only food and drink purchased at Birmingham Hippodrome may be taken into the auditorium. Plastic glasses are provided at the bars. Any alcohol purchased outside of the venue will be removed and returned to you at the end of the performance. We are of course a No Smoking building. All smoking, including electronic cigarettes, is not permitted in the building. If you pop out for a smoke during the interval, please be considerate to other patrons and passers-by, and use the bins provided.
Babies and Children
Buggies and pushchairs: These may be placed on the Stalls Foyer, behind the Front of House lift. All items are left at the owner’s risk.
Booster cushions: These are available for use inside the auditorium on a first come, first seved basis. There is no charge for the booster seat – we just ask you to leave them in the auditorium.
Baby Changing facilities are situated next to the accessible toilets on the Front Circle Foyer (Level 2 in the lift) and Stalls Foyer (Level 1 in lift).
