It was a night that Birmingham audiences would Never Forget. This week saw Tim Firth’s new musical, The Band, open to a sell-out crowd, bringing back a flood of memories for anyone who has ever lived through the highs and lows of being ‘super-fan’!
Mothers, daughters, friends, colleagues (and even the odd partner!) were on their feet, some re-living their own teenage years, others discovering Take That’s incredible back catalogue for the very first time! Between the laughter, smiles (and tears!) one thing, above all, was clear. Birmingham audiences of all ages just couldn’t get enough of this heartfelt and hilarious new musical!
As if we weren’t feeling nostalgic enough already, we’ve pulled together some of our favourite reactions from opening night below. Go on…grab a cup of tea and re-live the memories! It Only Takes A Minute….

Had doubts before today on why I ordered tickets for this. However I am glad I did, it was amazing and was way above my expectations.
The excellent story by Tim Firth was emotional, funny and the songs were brilliant. pic.twitter.com/hxU1YIC2ZR
