Information

Nederlands Dans Theater is one of the world’s most celebrated dance companies, wowing audiences with its unique brand of breathtaking dance, awe-inspiring skill and passionate creativity. With an impressive company of 18 international dancers, NDT2 presents a mixed repertoire of work that promises to inspire and entertain.

From multi-award-winning Swedish choreographer, Johan Inger’s fresh and optimistic I New Then sees 9 dancers propelled by songs from Van Morrison. The UK premiere of Romanian choreographer, Edward Clug’s mutual comfort, highlights the dancers’ own individual stories with surprising moments of beauty and spontaneous irony. Legendary Dutch choreographer Hans van Manen’s Solo delivers an athletic tour de force with an extraordinarily fast-paced ballet set to Bach’s violin Partita.

For the finale, Alexander Ekman’s Cacti bursts onto the stage with an uplifting and joyous party spirit that celebrates the youthful prowess of NDT2’s 18 dancers. “Pure pleasure” says the Guardian. “A clever and original crowd-pleaser” says The Telegraph.
