A work about an exploding head, about what we didn’t even fail to achieve because we simply didn’t try. In their position as double voyeurs – watching others and themselves – the audience fills the gaps of the character on stage, challenging their own notion of public and private. This solo is a possibility, a fractal, a fleeting mark. A wasp inside a head, a thought-gnawing buzz.

Choreographer and performer Rui Horta is a wild veteran, and that nature, audacity and doggedness is what allowed him to get back up on stage after thirty years of absence.

Wasp is, as Rui says himself, “a reduction of man to a tiny particle of the cosmos, contemplated with some loss, a lot of compassion and a good dose of irony.”
