Last week our Leading Ladies enjoyed an exclusive pre-show discussion with cast members of The Color Purple to celebrate our first co-production with Curve and raise funds for Hippodrome Projects.

The event was sponsored by West Midlands Growth Company, with Head of Business Growth Sian Robert giving an overview of their key objectives and how the guests could help promote the successes of the region.

After enjoying welcome drinks and a fresh light supper, the Leading Ladies were treated to an intimate pre-show discussion with Danielle Fiamanya and Joanna Francis who play Nettie and Shug Avery in the smash-hit show, hosted by BBC’s Kathryn Stanczyszyn.

Judith Greenburgh, Head of Partnerships and Events at Birmingham Hippodrome commented: “We’re delighted to have ended our cycle of events for 2018-19 on a real high at such fantastic show with a powerful female storyline. We’ve welcomed over 500 guests from all sectors to 9 events and raised nearly £10,000 for Hippodrome Projects.
Thank you to our sponsors, members and their guests who have supported us. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in September for our first event of the 2019-2020 season, our eighth year as a network!”

Alongside enjoying world-class entertainment, our Leading Ladies have access to backstage, cast appearance and of course first-class hospitality with plenty of glamour! Whether you’d like the chance to meet new people in the city or want to bring along a friend or colleague, perhaps treat a client – our friendly social network for women is an ideal way to relax at the end of your working day.

Our next Leading Ladies event will be on Tuesday 10 September at Matthew Bourne’s Romeo + Juliet.
