There’s a lot more to life here than what happens onstage! Our work takes us all over the region, working with schools local community organisations and other hard-to-reach groups. In the first of our regular ‘Out and About’ blogs, we shine a spotlight our recent visit to Four Dwellings Academy where students enjoyed an Acting Masterclass with the cast of Willy Russell’s ‘Blood Brothers’.

Having surpassed 10,000 performances in London’s West End, it’s hard to believe that Blood Brothers began life as a secondary school play in Liverpool back in 1983.

Thirty years later and, despite the show’s phenomenal success, the roots of Willy Russell’s musical are very much alive as we found out last week when the cast of Blood Brothers delivered an acting masterclass at Four Dwellings Academy in Quinton.

No strangers to the spotlight, students from the school’s Gifted and Talented programme worked with long-standing cast member Sean Jones before having the opportunity to pose their burning questions about the life of a professional actor!
