Donate Now to secure the future of Birmingham Hippodrome

#GivingTuesdayNow | 5 May 2020

Today we are celebrating #GivingTuesdayNow – a global day of giving and unity. The initiative, spearheaded by the ground-breaking global generosity movement GivingTuesday, has been organised as an emergency response to the needs caused by COVID-19.

The effects of this global crisis will be long-lasting for Birmingham Hippodrome, our staff and volunteers, our wonderful industry and indeed the rest of the world.

As a proud, independent charity, we are at risk. We receive no regular public funding or government grants to deliver our life-enhancing work both on and off-stage, relying predominately on the income generated from ticket sales, our bars and our restaurant. With this stream of revenue currently paused, we need your support more than ever as we want to make sure we are there for you when we are able to open our doors once more.

How you can help on #GivingTuesdayNow

#GivingTuesdayNow is an opportunity for people around the world to stand together in unity and to use their individual power of generosity for communities to remain connected and heal, even though we are apart.

We understand these are difficult times and would like to that all that have supported us through donations or ticket purchases for futures shows already.

If you are considering a donation, you can find out more on by clicking our DONATE NOW button. If you are also able to Gift Aid your donation, this will boost your donation providing an additional 25p for every £1 you donate at no extra cost to you.

Support Now, Enjoy Later

Another way you can support us is to purchase a gift voucher to use for a show of your choice when the theatre is open. Gift vouchers make perfect presents in a time when we cannot be together, giving friends and loved ones an occasion to look forward to whilst helping support Birmingham Hippodrome in our greatest time of need.  All gift vouchers are valid for up to two years.

Share & Join in

Join us on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook and share you favourite memories of Birmingham Hippodrome. This could be being in the theatre, at one of our festivals, taking part in educational activities or attending an event. Tag us in your post and #GivingTuesdayNow.

Since we opened our doors in 1899, we have faced many challenges, closures, bombing and wars, and we have fought to survive. If there is just one thing we can be completely certain of in this time, with your support, our curtain will rise again.
