As part of a new partnership between Punch Records and Birmingham Hippodrome, GIFTED 37 premieres new work from the region’s most exciting and challenging young artists. Showing for the first time as professionals, all are standout graduates of PUNCH’s Gallery 37 talent development programme. This event is your opportunity to preview the work of the next generation of artists stepping up onto the Birmingham scene.
These talented artists work across a diverse range of art forms, from photography and spoken word to music, dance, rap and film making.
Visual artists, poets, filmmakers, dancers and others make up the GIFTED 37 2019 graduate group, who trained with leading artists over PUNCH’s Gallery 37 onsite residency last summer. All have been working since then to create exciting, powerful new work which they will reveal here for the first time.
The evening will be compered by comedian, host and radio presented Cassandra Maria. She has previously worked with MOBO, MADE TV, Switch Radio and more.
