From the frozen wastes of Arandelle to the sweeping hills of the Swiss Alps, fans of the iconic Julie Andrews musical are invited to experience their favourite songs afresh with a fun-packed, sing-a-long-a-screening of the classic 1965 film in Sing-a-long-a-Sound of Music. Brought to life in glorious, full-screen technicolour, each screening of Sing-a-long-A-Sound of Music comes complete with a hilarious vocal warm-up, free props bag, fancy dress competition and plenty of opportunities to tune up and take part in the company of family and friends.

Lovers of world-class stand-up can look forward to a double-bill of cutting-edge comedy with Jon Richardson: Old Man, who returns on Thur 4 May to complain about the state of the world…and offer no solutions.

Best known for his appearances on ‘8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown’, ‘Live at the Apollo’ and ‘Have I Got News For You’, come and see what Jon Richardson can do with words when he has more than thirty seconds to work with. Or should that be “with which to work”.

This will be followed by a visit by one of the UK’s most energetic and exciting comedians, Joel Dommett who arrives in Birmingham on Sat 6 May fresh from his hugely memorable performance on 2016’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. Plus, for the ultimate big night out, don’t forget to arrive early for the chance to sample the Hippodrome’s newly launched Comedy Menu in the Circle Restaurant.

If rock ‘n’ roll is music to your ears, Asian rock sensation Atif Aslam will be bringing all of his biggest hits to Birmingham on Fri 5 May as part of a major new international tour.
