Hot Mess receives soaring reviews and multiple award wins at Edinburgh Fringe Festival
This week Hot Mess, starring Danielle Steers (SIX The Musical) and Tobias Turley (Mamma Mia!) finished its sell-out run at Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The new pop comedy musical, presented by Birmingham Hippodrome in association with Vicky Graham Productions, received soaring views from national newspapers and industry critics.
Created by Ellie Coote and Jack Godfrey, the creative duo behind 42 Balloons, Hot Mess also scooped five major awards during its Edinburgh Fringe Festival run including the Fringe First award in recognition for exceptional new writing, the Popcorn Writing Award 2025, Musical Theatre Review’s New Musical Theatre Award, The List magazine’s International Fringe Encore Series prize and recognition in The Stage’s Fringe Five.
The high-energy original romcom will transfer to Southwark Playhouse Elephant Thursday 16 Oct – Saturday 8 Nov 2025.
