Could you be a ZooNation Youth Company dancer?

Are you a dancer aged 10-20 with advanced skills in Locking, Popping, House, Breaking and Technical dance styles?

Do you have the desire to work hard and take that vital step forward into the dance profession?

Birmingham Hippodrome is thrilled to announce that this year ZooNation, in partnership with the Hippodrome, will launch their first youth company outside of London, ZYCBrum! Artistic Director of ZYCBrum, Rhimes Lecointe will be looking for exciting young talent to form this new company. ZYCBrum will train weekly in foundations and Hip Hop styles, learn from guest teachers and present new work at the Hippodrome and beyond.

We will be holding an open audition on Sat 22 Sep, between 10am – 1pm in Birmingham Hippodrome’s Studio 5. Please come to Thorp Street Reception for 10am and a member of staff will direct you to Studio 5.

Dancers selected to join the company by their audition performance will need to be available Saturdays during term time 11.30am – 2.30pm to train at the Hippodrome. Additionally, they will need to travel to London to train alongside ZooNation’s London Youth Company one Saturday per term.

If you are successful in being offered a place in ZYCBrum, the membership fee is £100 per term which covers all training sessions and uniform. We have a limited number of 50% bursaries which will be offered to dancers on a means tested basis. There will also be some additional fees to cover travel.
