We can’t resist an old-school tap routine and Cole Porter’s number from the 1930s is one of the best – fresh, cheeky and joyous!

Full of hope and positive vibes, this powerful song will have you clapping along and inspire you with a little optimism.

7. “We Go Together” from Grease
Nothing goes together like John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, and this final song from Grease is their most gleeful tune of the lot. Goodness knows what they’re singing about, but frankly who cares?

6. “I’m a Believer” from Shrek The Musical
What a fantastic song for a finale – grab a gingerbread man (or woman) and jive around your kitchen to this classic by The Monkees.

5. “December 1963 (Oh, What a Night)” from Jersey Boys
This carefree track by The Four Seasons might mention a winter’s night, but we think it’s perfect for bopping on those summer evenings that are surely just around the corner…

4. “Fame” from Fame
Put on those legwarmers and head back to the 80s – nothing will make you happier than bouncing around to  this epic tune. So you don’t annoy the neighbours, we recommend digging out your Walkman.

3. “Dancing Queen” from MAMMA MIA!
Who doesn’t love Abba? Who doesn’t love Meryl Streep, Julie Walters and Christine Baranski dancing about in a Greek village to Abba?

2. “You Can’t Stop the Beat” from Hairspray
A cheerful, ecstatic concoction of energy and enthusiasm, this almost made it to the top spot…almost…
