If you are visiting us between Wednesday 27 July and Monday 8 August, your journey may be affected by the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games and planned train strikes. We advise allowing extra time for your journey and planning alternative routes to the ones you may usually use to visit us.

TRAIN STRIKES

Strikes are currently planned for Wednesday 27 and Saturday 30 July. We advise making alternative travel arrangements for these dates and allowing extra time for your journey.

You can follow the most up to date information on the National Rail Website.

BIRMINGHAM 2022 COMMONWEALTH GAMES

If you are visiting us between Wednesday 27 July and Monday 8 August, your trip to Birmingham Hippodrome will coincide with the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. There may be significant road closures and diversions around the West Midlands during your visit, as well as closures of car parks and road parking areas.

We recommend using the Commonwealth Games Journey Planner or the Transport for West Midlands Journey Planner before you visit, even if you are a frequent visitor to the Hippodrome, to ensure you can make it to your performance in time.

Our postcode is B5 4TB and we are well-connected to public transport as well as being within walking-distance from New Street, Moor Street and Snow Hill stations.

BIRMINGHAM 2022 COMMONWEALTH GAMES MARATHON EVENT

On Saturday 30 July, the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games Marathon race will pass by Birmingham Hippodrome.

Customers attending the 2.30pm matinee performance of We Will Rock You will need to enter via our doors on Inge Street.

We advise customers who require step free access to use our Thorp Street entrance.

We expect the area to be very busy for the marathon and we recommend allowing plenty of extra time for your journey, our doors open 90 minutes before each performance.

We look forward to seeing you over the summer.
