Navadal (meaning ‘new shoots’) is Akademi’s national South Asian youth dance competition, run this year in partnership with One Dance UK, ISTD and Sampad.
The performance will showcase shortlisted applicants for solo and group dances in a range of classical Indian styles; last year the line-up included BBC Young Dancer finalist and hugely talented dancer Vidya Patel.
A panel of esteemed judges will select winners and runners up across four categories and the awards will be presented at the end of the performance.
This production takes place in The Patrick Centre, Birmingham Hippodrome.
Navadal is part of U.Dance 2017.
