Birmingham Hippodrome and Pangaea Sculptor’s Centre (PSC) have announced the shortlist for a new sculpture commission as part of the venue’s 120th birthday celebrations.

Rachael Champion, Kashif Chaudry, Matt Gale, Richard Hughes, Joanne Masding and Frances Richardson have all been shortlisted to submitted a design for a bold, new site-specific artwork to be displayed in the main foyer, where footfall exceeds half a million visitors each year.

The successful artist will be chosen in August, with the final sculpture launched in October during a special birthday celebration at the theatre, yet to be announced.
