To make your evening more memorable you’ll be hearing from our keynote speaker, Chief Creative Officer for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, Martin Green.
Plus, your supper will be created in partnership with The Oyster Club by Adam Stokes Head Chef Rosanna Moseley who will be sharing some of her experiences about training in a Michelin starred kitchen and subsequently taking up the helm of one of the city’s most fashionable establishments.

The Red Shoes is a tale of obsession, possession and one girl’s dream to be the greatest dancer in the world. Victoria Page lives to dance but her ambitions become a battleground between the two men who inspire her passion. Based on the classic Powell and Pressburger film and the Hans Christian Andersen fairytale, and set to the achingly romantic music of golden-age Hollywood composer Bernard Herrmann.

During the Leading Ladies pre-show reception we will be joined by special guest speaker, Martin Green.
Martin Green is Birmingham 2022’s chief creative officer. Martin has masterminded some of Britain’s most significant major events including the opening of The 02 in London; the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic opening and closing ceremonies and the opening ceremony of the 2014 Tour de France Grand Départ in Leeds. Such success has earned Martin an international reputation. As CEO and Director of Hull UK City of Culture 2017 Martin delivered 365 days of transformative culture for the city to huge acclaim. He is an advisor to the Japan 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the Dubai Expo 2020. Martin is also an inaugural member of the Circle of Cultural Fellows at King’s College London. In 2018 he was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Hull and made CBE in the Queen’s New Year Honours list.
