Hit the Ode is a unique performance poetry night bringing world-class spoken word artists to the heart of Birmingham. One regional, one national and one international poet perform alongside open micers.

This month we welcome Anthony Anaxagorou who will perform extracts extracts from his new collection ‘After the Formalities’. Great Northern Slam Winner Ellen Moran performs a set and is joined by Liz Berry whose first book of poems ‘Black Country’ has been described as a “sooty, soaring hymn to her native West Midlands” (The Guardian).
