Following the Government’s recovery roadmap update on Mon 22 Feb, we are continuing to work with producers to confirm or reschedule productions for the coming months.

Please see HERE for more information and rescheduled dates. We ask you to avoid contacting us during this time; we will be in touch with customers of affected productions as soon as we are able. Thank you once again for your patience, we cannot wait to welcome you back.

This is a past event and is currently no longer running.

Information

This year Colour Box is exploding all over the Patrick Studio with a host of free drop-in activities for all ages. Take your pick from Moomin puppets and smartphone projectors, VR experiences and giant zoetropes.

Pop along to experience:

  • DIY Cinema – Cut. Stick. Project! Artist duo One Five West will be will be on hand to help you make your own smartphone projectors, shadow puppets and cardboard theatres
  • Direct Film Station – Scratch, paint, draw onto celluloid, and see your masterpiece projected with the help of filmmaker and animator Scott Johnston
  • Dato Duo Synth Station – Who said electronica was just for adults? With this easy-to-use new synthesizer, anyone aged 3 and up can knock out a bangin’ tune, and what’s more fun is that it’s designed to be played in pairs
