CBSO in the City comes to a spectacular close with a special Birmingham Weekender takeover.

The full City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO) featuring up to seventy musicians will pop-up in front of commuters and shoppers, performing orchestral favourites including the Star Wars theme tune, Jurassic Park, and an excerpt from Beethoven’s 9th Symphony.

As part of the orchestra’s mission to reach new audiences across the West Midlands and develop deeper and more meaningful connections with the city it calls home, CBSO in the City will present the huge breadth of the orchestra’s music-making.

CBSO in the City takes place from Thursday 27 August across the city, coming to a spectacular close with a special Birmingham Weekender takeover on Monday 31 August 2026.
