We’re back with the first Drop In of 2026…and it’s a great one!
On Thursday 19 February, we’re starting the year off with some incredible workshops from the best professionals in their industries right now! This drop in will explore all things Digital Media! Looking at the industry from both in-front of and behind the camera!
Open to any young person aged 14+, these are workshops for those wanting to try something new or to develop their skills further, learning from the best and taking your next step into the world of creativity!

Acting for Screen with Sam Baker Jones
Sam is an experienced actor in Theatre, TV and Film, appearing in ITV’s DI Ray, Channel 5’s Murder Before Evensong, BBC1’s Dear England and Steven Knight’s Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man. Sam is currently performing in Maggots at The Bush Theatre.
Join Sam to explore the world of acting for screen! Whether you have acting experience or are a total beginner, this workshop will definitely be one to catch!
Acting for Screen with Zak Douglas & Olisa Odele
Zak Douglas is an actor and performer who stars as Mo in the ITV comedy G’wed, alongside featuring in Channel 5’s The Good Ship Murder. Zak has recently starred in Sleeping Beauty at the Wolverhampton Grand.
Olisa Odele starred as Yemi across all three series of the Channel 4 comedy Big Boys alongside appearing in Dead Hot, Am I Being Unreasonable, Chewing Gum and My Parents are Aliens.
Zak and Olisa both have extensive and exciting experiences in the world of TV and have starred in many popular shows. Join this workshop to explore how they approach acting for screen. Whether you have experience or not, this workshop will not be one to miss!
Being an Actor in the Digital World Panel
Hear from Sam Baker Jones, Zak Douglas and Olisa Odele about their journeys and experiences being actors and performers for some of the biggest TV shows and films. From experiences on set to award ceremonies, there isn’t much about acting for screen that these three don’t know so make sure you’re one of the audience members for this workshop!
Film-making with Daniel Alexander
Daniel Alexander is an award-winning BAFTA Connect filmmaker and director from Birmingham, UK. He is the creator and director of the viral horror feature Gale: Yellow Brick Road, a dark reimagining of The Wizard of Oz, which secured a major U.S. theatrical release across more than 1,000 cinemas through Fathom Events — a landmark moment for independent British genre cinema.
Across film and television, Daniel has collaborated with major broadcasters and streamers including ITV, BBC, Warner Bros Discovery, BFI, and Tiger Aspect.
Join Daniel to explore more about film-making and having a go yourself! This workshop has been designed for those with and without film-making experience.
Mindful Crafting with Bobbie
Bobbie is back! This time, supporting you to create some Pre-Production Mood Boards – something used across the digital industry in Film, TV and Videogames. Take inspiration from the other workshops you’ve taken part in or come up with something completely new – it’s up to you! This workshop will take place in a relaxed setting where you can drop in and out.
Becoming a Voice Over Artist with James Alexander
James Alexander is a Voice Actor, Motion Capture Performer and Voice Director from the West Midlands. He is adept at embodying numerous characters with his impressive catalogue of AAA video games and beyond! You may have heard his voice in Black Myth: Wukong, Warhammer 40K: Darktide, Baldur’s Gate 3, Brawl Stars, Horizon: Call of the Mountain and more!
