A new and unique exhibition by artists Craig Earp and Danny Lloyd.

Their artwork is a response to the rich archive based at the Hippodrome which includes photographs, posters, programmes and records of the theatre’s history.

The archive is one of the most important theatre archives in the UK and dates back to the first building in 1895, through the years that saw it become “The Hippodrome” in October 1903, to the present day.

The two artists were invited to explore the pantomime archive, to create new work that celebrates the history of pantomime and its stars. The artists have been inspired by original material and have created original artwork as well as re-appropriated archive imagery.
