Join us for Birmingham’s Lunar New Year Celebrations in Hippodrome Square, as we welcome the Year of the Dragon.
There will be a packed programme of performances and festivities all day to celebrate the official first day of the new year.
See events section for programme highlights.
We want everyone to enjoy the festival!
We’ve got lots of accessible experiences to ensure our programme is open to all.
Access Hub (At the front of Birmingham Hippodrome 12 noon – 6pm)
Meet our access hosts, find out about the festival, borrow ear defenders, fidget toys and audio description headsets.
Chill Out Zone (Artists’ Lounge at Birmingham Hippodrome 12 noon – 6pm)
Take a break from the busy festival environment in our chill out zone.
Our Access Hosts will be at the Access Hub and Chill Out Zone throughout the day to support attendees with any access requirements.
Accessible Viewing Points (In front of the UberEats Festival stage)
Providing space for those that need it with a great view of the action – this is very close to the stage so expect it to be loud – the viewing area will be closed before and for the duration of any pyrotechnic effects for safety purposes.
BSL Interpretation (UberEats Festival Stage 12 noon – 6pm)
Throughout the day, interpreters will be working alongside our hosts to offer BSL provision for the stage.
Audio Description (UberEats Festival Stage – certain performances 12 noon – 6pm)
Many of the performances on the UberEats Festival Stage will be audio-described. If you would like a headset and a list of what will be audio-described, please email us in advance or pop along to the Access Hub on the day.
If you have any specific questions or requirements to be able to come along to the festival, please get in touch with us on firstname.lastname@example.org.
