Work with us to create a large-scale event with showstopping impact. Host an event on our stunning historic stage or take over the whole building to truly wow your guests.
Dating back to 1899, Birmingham Hippodrome is an iconic and celebrated space right in the heart of the city.
From Johnny Cash and Joan Collins to Laurel & Hardy and The Beatles, the world’s greatest stars have trodden the boards on our stage. And, we want to put you and your business in the same spotlight!
Why stage an event with us?
An extraordinary space with theatrical flair
If it’s a unique and interesting location you’re after, the Hippodrome is sure to impress. Welcome your guests in the Victorian splendour of our auditorium and treat your guests to a backstage tour to see the workings of a live theatre, from the orchestra pit to the dressing rooms.
Inject a little theatrical magic with large scale projections, gobos and haze lighting. If you can imagine it, we’ll create it.
A flexible space perfect for your needs
Alongside our 1,800 seat auditorium, we have numerous foyers, break out rooms and studios that can be adapted to a variety of uses.
The best transport links in town
With a city centre location, the Hippodrome is 5 minutes walk from New Street Station and 15 minutes walk from Moor Street Station. We’re also easily accessible from the M6 and M5 motorways and all major routes in to Birmingham. Birmingham International Airport is 20 minutes away by train.
A dynamic cast of in-house experts to help you
Our creative and professional team will respond to any brief (the more dramatic the better!) and add touches of theatrical glitz and glamour to make your event truly memorable. We’ll keep a close eye on your event from start to finish so you can get on with enjoying yourself. You’re also in safe hands with our award-winning hospitality team, experienced technicians and friendly visitor services team who put on a fantastic show night after night.
Support Hippodrome Projects
Birmingham Hippodrome is an independent not-for-profit charity reinvesting in building a better future through arts and culture. Any surplus we make from events helps to fund Hippodrome Projects – our own curated programme of indoor and outdoor live performance, community work and transformational learning projects that help more people experience arts and culture.
