Titanic tour sets sail across the UK
“A heart-rendingly powerful production of a modern musical theatre masterpiece”
The Stage
“One of the most memorable evenings I have spent in a theatre, Titanic the Musical is a must-see show and the most fitting tribute to the 1517 men, women and children so tragically lost and commemorated.”
Daily Echo
“Quite remarkable.”
Chichester Observer
These are just some of the incredible reactions that the new UK and Ireland Tour of Titanic The Musical has received since embarking on its maiden voyage across the UK at Southampton Mayflower earlier this week.
This new production – which set sail from its home city of Southampton (the very port city from which Titanic began her maiden (and what turned out to be her final) transatlantic journey in 1912 – has been brought to life by Birmingham-born Director Thom Southerland and features a stirring score by Maury Yetson, brought to life here by a talented cast of actor-singers.
Based on real people aboard the most legendary ship in the world, Titanic The Musical shines a spotlight on the hopes, dreams and aspirations of her passengers who each boarded with stories and personal ambitions of their own. All innocently unaware of the fate awaiting them, the Third Class immigrants dream of a better life in America, the Second Class imagine they too can join the lifestyles of the rich and famous, whilst the millionaire Barons of the First Class anticipate legacies lasting forever.
Titanic The Musical docks at Birmingham Hippodrome from Mon 4 – Sat 9 June with tickets already selling fast so book early for the chance to see this rarely-performed masterpiece set sail this Summer.
