Apples and Snakes are back this Spring with this notorious spoken word event.
To kick off March 2023, they’ve collaborated with UniSlam – a bit of a tradition maybe! UniSlam brings together teams of emerging writers from universities across the UK and Ireland for 3 days of masterclasses, talks and performance events alongside the national varsity poetry slam tournament.
We’ve invited participants of UniSlam to join us for Hit The Ode so expect a bumper and lively audience ready to get into some spoken word goodness.
You’ll be treated to our usual host, Bohdan Piasecki, as well as guest artists: Ella Frears, Jack Underwood and Tolu Agbelusi. Pop your name in the hat for the open mic, or just simply take a seat and enjoy the night.
Hit the Ode is a unique performance poetry night bringing world-class spoken word artists to the heart of Birmingham to perform alongside open mic-ers. This is your chance to take to the stage among some of the brightest talent in the region.
