We saw the show on Friday 17th Jan. I'd heard it was a fab show so was really looking forward to it & was not disappointed. Our group ranged from 8 to 82 and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Wasn't sure if it would be as good as last years panto without Brian Conley but need not have worried, if anything it was better. The scene between Gok, Gary, Matt & Paul was brilliant, my son was in hysterics as was my elderly mother. The cast all looked like they were having a wonderful time on stage. Gary's song was a real tear jerker & I admit to dabbing my eyes at the end. It would be difficult to top this years panto but then again I said that last year. Have booked tickets for the panto again at the end if the year in anticipation of another excellent show. I'm sure I wont be disappointed. Thanks to everyone involved for a great evenings entertainment. Well done.
Lisa \\ 01/02/2014
The panto on Wednesday 29th was absolutely fantastic and my Mum (76), daughter (24) and I (47) thoroughly enjoyed every minute of. Right from the beginning to the very end we all in tears just because we were laughing so much. It was great early birthday present for my daughter who turned 25 on the 31st and well worth the money and we had great seats too. The whole cast were brilliant, but Gok needs a special mention as this was his first ever panto, he did a great job and should be very proud. Will definitely try and come back next year. I would love one of the miniature Sam puppets too!!!
Helen Sherwood \\ 31/01/2014

What a fab time we had, I have not been to a panto since I was a child, I could never see the attraction. I bought the tickets just to take my mom out for the night who is 81 and we were laughing from start to finish. A super cast and super script. I will definitely be booking up for next year.
Katrina \\ 31/01/2014

Matt and Paul stole the show but everyone was good and the dwarfs were sublime! Lots of colour and very fast moving - could definitely have stayed and watched it again - keep up the good work!

Went on 25th Jan. really enjoyed the whole performance. There was colour, fun, great characters and music. Haven't been to a pantomime for a few years and had quite forgotten how much fun they are. It was such a good laugh and would certainly recommend it. We could watch it again

Just returned from watching Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Absolutely fantastic show, spent the whole afternoon in fits of laughter. Thank you to ALL of the cast and crew members for such an amazing show.
karen Horseman \\ 26/01/2014
Pantomime Perfection. Saw the show on Sat 25th January 2014 (Evening). A laugh from start to finish.John Partridge and Danielle Hope, Stephanie Beacham and Gary Wilmot all good as expected, but special mention to Paul Zerdin and Matt Slack (even though he reminded me very much of Brian Conley at times) who worked hard and created the laughs. Gok Wan was better than expected, given his recent programme on tv regarding his trepidation of doing panto. The seven dwarves were funny, would have liked to have seen a little more of them in action. Costumes and scenery and the dragon were excellent. Not too much time spent on the storyline, but it worked. The section with Gok, Paul, Matt and Gary with props such as a truncheon, water blaster, saucepan, loofer and boxing gloves was a riot! Well done to all. We see the panto every year, and this one was 'up with the rest of them' when there have been even bigger names. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it.Roll on Jack and the Beanstalk 2013/2014!
Mrs Jayne Keay \\ 26/01/2014

Mark Billson \\ 17/01/2014
What a fantastic pantomine. Thank you all at the Hippodrome for a great, fun night. Odd Job and Muddles were really really good and very funny. We laughed from start to finish. The song "if I didn't work at the palace" was brilliant, they all seemed to have such a laugh doing it and it was great. There is so much to mention, it was all spectacular, loved the dragon and the witch. Sam sitting on the bench was very well done too, Paul is a star. Our party was aged between 14 and 90 and we all loved every minute, if you haven't seen it and get chance before it finishes, get along for a great night out, worth every penny and more. Came out of there on a real high.

I've never been to a panto before so didn't know what to expect but it was absolutely amazing!! So funny I saw it twice in one week. Definitely one to see.
Sophie \\ 16/01/2014
Went to see Snow White on sat 11th. I go every year, and wondered if this years panto would be as good with the absence of Brian Conley. I needn't have worried, it was absolutely fantastic. The whole cast were amazing, scenery as always excellent, and the song in the middle where Odd Bod and Muddles &co sing about what they would like to do if they didn't work for the queen had me in stitches. It was brilliantly acted and choreographed, faultless. If I could afford it I would go again. Well done all.
Carmen \\ 13/01/2014
Best show I have ever seen!!! Me and my daughter had so much laugh :) It was brill! And my daughter was lucky to go be on the stage at the end :) Good practice for the theatre school she does. Would go again if had any spare money!
Aga \\ 13/01/2014
Absolutely Fabulous. The cast was excellent, the scenery stunning, my favourite bit, the song "what I would be if I didn't work for the Queen" was side splitting and perfectly performed by Odd Bod, Muddles,Magic Mirror and The Dame. I go every year and this has to be the best. Brilliant!
CARMEN \\ 13/01/2014
Fantastic from start to finish, the best panto i have seen by far, although the one with Julian Clarey is a very close second!! The way the cast worked together was great and they seemed to be having as much fun as us. My family are 17,51 and 53 and we never stopped laughing from start to finish, didn't want it to end!!
Julie Harrison \\ 12/01/2014
I have just been to see Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, with my mum and son. It was absolutely fabulous. There was slapstick humour for the children and adult humour. The bit that we like was with Gok, Gary, Matt and Paul that was so funny. My personal favourite was when Gary sang Because you love them,I will admit I cried, what a lovely song. Well done Gary. It's the best pantomime we have seen.
alison, Daryl, Barbara  \\ 11/01/2014
We have just got in from seeing Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs what an amazing pantomime. There was slapstick humour for the kids and adult humour. The funniest was with Gok, Gary, Matt and Paul. My son like the dragon. My favourite was Gary singing Because you love them, I will admit it I did cry through it. What a lovely song, well done Gary. It's the best pantomime we have been too.
Alison \\ 11/01/2014
Have just been to see Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs with my mum and son. What a fabulous pantomime. The best part of the show was with Gok, Gary, Matt and Paul it was so funny. My favourite part of the show was when Gary sang the song Because you love them, I will admit I did cry through it, what a lovely song, well done Gary. It's the best pantomime we have seen in a long time. Well done to everyone in the show. XXX
alison garner \\ 11/01/2014
What a fantastic panto. Matt Slack and Paul Zerdin deserve a special mention as their performances were brilliant and made the show. All the family had a wonderful time. Well done to the Cast and all the staff at the Hippodrome for putting on such a fantastic show.
Yvonne Taylor \\ 10/01/2014
What a wonderful, heart-warming, hilarious show! I don't want to single any one performer out - this is a real team effort and they are all magnificent! And the music, costumes, lighting and special effects are first class. I laughed till I cried - a real must-see.

Lorraine Sennett \\ 08/01/2014
I Came with my family on 21st Dec. What a fabulous panto! We have been coming for 6 years now and in our opinion this panto was the BEST yet! We really loved Matt Slack - absolutely hilarious! He stole the show for us - we laughed all the way through! The rest of the cast were great too and well done and congratulations to GOK in his first panto performance. We have already booked our seats for Jack and the Beanstalk next Christmas. Thank you Birmingham Hippodrome for a fantastic family night out.
Mel Allan \\ 07/01/2014
Absolutely brilliant - the best panto I've ever seen! I'm struggling to convey just how much my entire family enjoyed the show - we'd have stayed in our seats and watched it all over again immediately. The cast were fabulous and each brought their own star quality and immense talent to their role. The jokes were genuinely funny and the special effects and puppets were magical. The show exemplifies 'family entertainment' as every single member of our family (from 4 - 40 years) was captivated throughout. Congratulations to the whole production team on such a superb show and for bringing so much joy to all who see it. Well done and thank you for a wonderful evening! :)
Mrs Morris \\ 07/01/2014

Jessica \\ 05/01/2014
Absolutely awesome....laughed and laughed all the way through. Matt Slack was brilliant
Tracey Bennett \\ 05/01/2014
Having tired of the Hippodromes panto over the last few years I had decided not to take my grandchildren this year. After reading the reviews I changed my mind. What an excellent show, full of energy from the outset , it provided fun and participation for the whole family. Whilst still containing elements of adult humour the main thrust was geared towards children and rightly so. All the cast were good, but the highlight was Paul Zerdin. Only adverse criticism - Gary Wilmot's talents were not used to the full.
pam \\ 05/01/2014
Brilliant! As a family from 4years to 58 there was something for everyone. We laughed till we cried! Would see it again tomorrow can't say better than that !
Nana \\ 04/01/2014

We book every year, and this years was the funniest yet! Matt Slack is just the BEST ever...Huge Congrats for an evening to remember!
The Mitchams \\ 30/12/2013
The best panto for years; a traditional story rather than some of the more recent tenuous tales hung onto a panto story, which is punctuated with hilarious sketches and told with brilliant humour. Whilst some recent years have relied too much on the excellent Brian Conley to hold the show together this is a true ensemble piece. Great jokes, lovely songs (Gary Wilmots tribute to mums is so poignant), fantastic sets and special fx; magical day out for kids and adults alike
DS \\ 30/12/2013
Went this afternoon for our first panto with my aunt, sister, 6yr old daughter and 4yr old niece. We all had a fantastic time. The whole performance/production was amazing!! The costumes and scenery were fabulous as usual although the music and sound were a little louder than usual but didn't spoil the show. Very well done everybody! CM Solihull

A real family treat. Humour for all levels, both adult and child. Me and my wife loved it just as much as our two children. Matt Slack and Paul Zerdin were the shining stars in a glitteringly well performing cast. Very slick, very funny and very much definitely a must see. Five stars!Go and see it..
Chris Dyche \\ 23/12/2013
Seven members of my family, ages ranging from 3 to 66, attended the Saturday afternoon performance. We have never been before and were so excited, the performance exceeded our expectations, a fantastic cast, especially Matt Slack and Paul Zerdin. The humour encompassed all of us, we went home feeling so good after such an entertaining, fun, magical beginning to our Christmas. Thank you to everyone for such a wonderful day. Like other reviewers, we are booking again for next year already.

Also massive applause to Paul Zerdin who was hilarious plus thumbs up to the lovely Danielle Hope great to have a leading lady with such a lovely voice! Gary Wilmot was a sweetie but could have lived without seeing John Partridge in such snug trousers! Many thanks its a family tradition and of course next year's tickets are already safely stowed!

We saw the Saturday afternoon performance, it was so funny. The best pantomime at the hippodrome I have seen for ages. The cast were brilliant and the slapstick routine "if I didn't work at the palace" was that of the standard of Morecambe and Wise. Thanks everyone involved in the show, you have made my Christmas. See you in 2014
Julie Cox \\ 22/12/2013
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs 20/12/2013. Absolutely brilliant!!! Love the fact that this is aimed at both adults and children. The adult humour borders on the edge of acceptable at times but that's what makes it great. The acting, singing and comedy are fab. Can't wait for my son to be old enough to go. Booking for next year now!
Rebecca Roberts \\ 22/12/2013

Just returned from the opening night of Snow White with 45 seven year olds! A great time was had by all. We loved every minute! Gok is perfectly suited to his role as the man in the mirror! Stephanie Beecham was grand. We laughed till we cried at the comic capers of Oddjob, Muddles and Nora! In fact the entire cast was fabulous! Looking forward to visting again next year.

Oh my god! I absoultely adored this years panto! The sets were amazing , the musical numbers were great! Paul Zerdin and Sam were very funny and loved the slapstick with Paul , Gary, Matt and John all mucking around with various props trying to out do each other! Very funny! Scary dragon that was absolutely amazing flying over the audience and the magical cottage , and the clever use of trickery when Paul left Sam on the bench by himself! Funny when Paul made two people out of the audience do a sketch! So brilliant and cant wait to see them again on the 30th Jan where I want to hug Paul , Gok , John and all of them for a great show! Gok was a panto virgin but so great and cant wait to see if I was filmed on TV on 30th Jan too!

Just returned from this years panto. Loved the show, but i thought there was too much adult humour. I have realised i like the traditional themes, this show didnt have a story line and it was more like a Brian C. one man show. Its a puppet !
