Breakin’ Convention, the critically acclaimed international festival of hip hop dance theatre, is back with another line-up of jaw-dropping performances by companies from around the world and around the corner.

Now in its ninth year, this hugely popular Sadler’s Wells production is hosted and curated by eminent UK hip hop theatre artist Jonzi D.

Breakin’ Convention features stunning performances from international crew ILL-Abilities who challenge the misconceptions of people with disabilities; Clash 66 (France & Korea) bringing a sublime duet that will challenge the notions of hip hop dance theatre, and double bboy world champions Vagabond Crew (France).

This year’s local acts are:

Mon: Street Dance Academy/Elite – Ella Mesma – NuProjeks.

Tue: Tru Street Academy – Dance Nuvo – Antics

Breakin’ Convention is much more than just a show - it’s an experience! Take part in freestyle sessions with live DJs in the foyers, visit the hip hop market place, have a go on the ‘Y’r Wall’ digital graffiti wall or spit rhymes on the open mic. Plus more to be confirmed.
