MAMMA MIA Mania with Park Regis

What a fantastic few weeks it has been for us Abba fans. I’ve been to two spectacular events in one week, all culminating with a song and dance to some of my favourite 70s and 80s hits. It all kicked off with another fantastic Leading Ladies event. I invited some of my clients to join in the networking where we were welcomed with a glass of fizz from Laurent Perrier and networked with the city’s finest professional women. We then took our seats for the show and ‘voulez vous-ed’ the night away. The show was fantastically funny and the cast have incredible voices. Without giving too much away, there’s definitely some crowd participation towards the end which kept us ladies laughing. I can’t recommend seeing the show enough.

Our second Abba extravaganza was the aptly named ‘Does your Mamma know?’ corporate fundraising evening. In a re-creation of the Greek wedding banquet from the show, we sat at long tables and enjoyed a three-course dinner including traditional mezze sharing platters. The Patrick Centre was beautifully decorated and themed like a Mediterranean tavern. The evening’s hosts, Joanne Malin from BBC Midlands Today and Ed James from Heart (with Ed staying at the Park Regis), held a Q&A with members of the cast and carried out a raffle prize draw, in which some of the goodies were overnight stays and spa treatments at the hotel. We then went and watched the show before grabbing a Park Regis goody bag and heading home. I’m all Abba’d out!
