More than 100 like-minded professionals came together to celebrate the festive season in style at Birmingham Hippodrome in November last year for our final ‘Leading Ladies’ event of 2016 – ‘Leading Ladies at The Nutcracker’.

Mixing business with show-business, the festive networking event saw guests from across Birmingham’s business community gather at the theatre for a pre-show drinks and canapes reception before having the opportunity to watch Sir Peter Wright’s festive classic, The Nutcracker live on stage.

The event was sponsored by Cure Leukaemia and Highfield Wellness and Beauty and included a special guest appearance from Simkiss Guy Recruitment L, who join Leading Ladies as Headline Sponsors of the popular female professional networking group.

Rebecca Simkiss of SimkissGuy Recruitment Ltd said:

One of the jewels of our amazing city, Birmingham Hippodrome is an iconic venue and provides world class entertainment. Yet many don’t realise that alongside this, their charitable trust – Hippodrome CREATIVE, provides diverse programmes of projects for young people, families, and vulnerable community groups in the city.

The Leading Ladies network exclusively raises funds and awareness of the incredibly valuable work of Hippodrome CREATIVE. Similarly, SimkissGuy Recruitment Ltd do all we can to give back to our city, and have a strong CSR focus in all we do, so for us it was a perfect partnership and we are proud to support Leading Ladies.

Over the last 12 months, Birmingham Hippodrome has welcomed over 400 guests to the theatre as part of Leading Ladies, raising over £10,000 in support of Hippodrome CREATIVE, which helps to provide learning opportunities for young people and local communities, often working with vulnerable groups.
