Since 1899, Birmingham Hippodrome has presented the best in arts and entertainment with world class opera and ballet, popular musicals, international dance, comedy and drama as well as the UK's biggest and best pantomime.
We are a not-for-profit, independent, registered charity receiving no public subsidy or revenue grants from Arts Council England or Birmingham City Council. We rely on our share of ticket sales, ancillary income, donations and in-kind support. We are not owned by a large commercial theatre network and pay no dividends to shareholders.
We are a big employer and major contributor to the local economy, welcoming on average some 500,000 visitors each year. We want to maintain the theatre to the highest standard whilst continuing our commitment to education, access and creative programming.
To achieve our aims, financial assistance from individuals, from private sources such as grant-making Trusts, and from the corporate sector is vital. Find out how you can play your part through individual membership
, with a Corporate Partnership
, or simply by making a donation
Thank you for your support. We look forward to welcoming you, your friends and family to the theatre very soon.
