Winner of 90 international awards, Wicked has been casting its magical spell over audiences of all ages across the world for a decade, and flies into Birmingham Hippodrome this month!
Based on Gregory Maguire’s acclaimed novel, Wicked brilliantly re-imagines the stories and characters created by L. Frank Baum in ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz’, to tell the incredible untold story of an unlikely but profound friendship between two sorcery students. Their extraordinary adventures in Oz will see them fulfil their destinies as Glinda The Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.
Packed with thrilling technical wizardry, dazzling costumes, an ingenious and witty story, and show-stopping songs (by multi GRAMMY® and Academy Award® winner Stephen Schwartz), Wicked is an unforgettable, enchanting experience that is not to be missed.

Amazing, Wonderful, just WICKED!! Loved ever minute of the show, everyone was amazing and the girls playing Elphaba and Glinda were outstanding. Looking to return and see this again before it moves on. Well done one and all.
Tracey \\ 24/07/2014
Took my family to the Saturday matinee. It by far exceeded my expectations as sometimes matinees feel a little half hearted or done mostly by understudies of understudies. However, this was brilliant the 2 main girls were particularly outstanding. The production and costumes were colourful and fun. Hadn't seen the show before and hadn't expected it too be so funny. Gaaarrrlinda was really funny. Highly recommended!!!
Alison W \\ 21/07/2014

'Wicked' It does what it says on the tin..it is WICKED! Thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish. I was mesmerised! The two leading ladies were exceptional, not just with their voices but small comedy parts too! I did not know the story before seeing the show, but was able to follow the story which explained the lead to the Wizard of Oz and events in the film, which may not have been appreciated beforehand.Lovely costumes and excellent supporting cast, not to mention the orchestra who must have been very warm in the pit on such a warm evening! Another excellent production at a wonderful venue. Keep it up Brum!
Mrs Jayne Keay \\ 19/07/2014

First time I've ever taken my mum to a show like this and to see her face light up the way it did was priceless! She had the best night ever and hasn't stopped talking about it since! I'd go again tomorrow if I could! 5* performance the cast should be very proud of the show they put on and the Musicians in the Pit were the making of this masterpiece! Thank you to the workers at the hippodrome, the cast and the crew for an unforgettable night :)
Megan Poole \\ 18/07/2014
Went to the matinée yesterday. The cast & crew & musicians are to be applauded. They sang their hearts out & had to do it all again for the evening performance. The costumes were superb especially the emerald city inhabitants & the 2 female leads were amazing. Clever special effects & scenery complimented. I would go & see it again for sure. Anita Wilde.
Anita Wilde \\ 17/07/2014
magical, fantastical, whimsical & very, very enjoyable, fantastic cast, brilliant score & wonderful acting, special mention for Nicki Davis-Jones for playing Elphaba, who would have thought that you would feel sorry for the wicked witch of the west? but she managed to make you feel that way, whatever you do, beg, borrow or steal a ticket to see this wonderful show. we are booking again.

Tammy Becket \\ 12/07/2014
"Wicked "is the name of the show, and "Wicked" it was, in every positive way. A production to rival any in the West End,or even Broadway... The two leading ladies were magnificent, but kudos to all the cast who made the magic happen collectively, transporting all to Oz and defying gravity, with wonderful effects. Another triumph for the Birmingham Hippodrome, and congratulations to a truly showstopping ensemble and production.
