What's On > Cinderella

Sat 17 Dec - Sun 29 Jan 2012 (ARCHIVED LISTING)

Brian Conley makes a triumphant return to the Hippodrome, the home of Britain’s biggest pantomime, following four record-breaking previous panto appearances. Brian is joined by actress, writer, broadcaster - and popular panelist on ITV’s Loose Women - Lynda Bellingham, and icon of children’s television, Basil Brush!

The most popular pantomime of them all, Cinderella will be brought magically to life by a superb cast, an abundance of comedy, stunning sets and costumes
and fabulous special effects including an amazing flying horse which transports Cinderella to The Ball! Pantomime at its best!

Brian has hosted numerous television shows including the hugely-successful The Brian Conley Show. On stage he has starred in the West End and in the touring productions of Hairspray and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, both of which he played at Birmingham Hippodrome. He is currently touring the UK in Brother Love's Travelling Salvation.

Lynda Bellingham has enjoyed a rich acting career spanning 40 years, with highlights including her roles as Helen Herriot in All Things Great and Small and Faith Grayshott in Second Thoughts and Faith in the Future. For Lynda her biggest triumph was in creating the role of Chris (as played by Helen Mirren in the film of the same name) in Calendar Girls both for the national tour and in the West End.

Michael Harrison, Executive Producer of Cinderella said,
"We are delighted that Brian is returning to the Hippodrome stage and thrilled that he is joined by Lynda Bellingham in this lavish production of the most popular panto title of them all."

Chinese New Year celebrations will take place on Sun 29 Jan. If you are coming on this day please leave plenty of time to get to and from the theatre and please be aware that parking will be limited in the area.

We came to see the panto in between Christmas and New Year and we had an absolutely fantastic time. Brian Conley was brilliant and for us was the star of the show. I am so glad he is doing the panto again this year at the Hippodrome,we will definitely be coming back.
Claire  \\ 31/01/2012

pauline long \\ 30/01/2012
We came to see Cinderella on the last night, and I have to say that it was the best Panto we have been to in years (and the Birmingham Hippodrome ALWAYS have the best panto). I hurt from laughing when we left. Brian Conley was completely brilliant as Buttons and I dont think I have cried laughing quite so much in my life. The Ugly sisters were the barberous best and the rest of the cast were a joy to watch. Oh, and the kids enjoyed it too!! We cannot wait for Robinson Crusoe next year!
Joanne \\ 30/01/2012
What a fantastic night! Moved into our first house in the day and what a superb way to de stress! Brian you are an awesome entertainer, thank you for tickling those funny bones that just havnt been used since 'dangerous Brian and Jurassic park' love to all the crew and cast. Will definatly be back next year! Nath
Nathan & April \\ 29/01/2012
Move aside Mr Barrowman, as the Hilarous Mr Conley has outshone you, what a performance and what a performer. Compared to last years debarcle with Miss Collins the Hippodrome Birmingham has got its self back on track with a first class show in Cinderella, never have I laughed so much everyone was brilliant truely brilliant.
E Evans \\ 29/01/2012
Saw pantomime today (for the second time in a fortnight), can't praise it highly enough! everyone contributed to a fantastic show, loved the romantic leads, the prince and Cinders were exactly what a fairytale couple should be (if only life were like that, sigh...) Dandini deserves a special mention, so does Linda Bellingham, such a warm and beautiful Fairy Godmother..and the horses..wow..brought a tear to the eye. But Brian Conley,GET THE MAN BACK ON T.V. NOW!!!When he said he couldn't get on tv because, he couldn't dance, ice skate etc.it said it all really. I think after the reaction of the audience both times I was there, it is time we had real talent on tele instead of (as my husband says) being entertained by the local bus queue!
Gail \\ 26/01/2012
What a show - this was my first ever panto and I am 51! I havent laughed so much for ages. Brian Conley is fabulous- he makes you forget the outside world whilst you are there. Fantastic production, all the cast and crews should be so proud of themselves for making so many people feel so happy. Long Live panto xxx
Sharon Sharpe \\ 26/01/2012
This was hysterically funny. I took my 6 year old sister to see it and we were both in stitches. Never been to a panto before but i think i will be booking tickets pretty early for the next one! well done guys!
Ashleigh Fisher \\ 25/01/2012

sarah lowe \\ 25/01/2012
I had the pleasure of watching Cinderella on 13th Jan, it was one of the best that i have seen, i haven't laughed so much in 1 night. All actors were fantastic and Brian Conley was amazing and has inspired me to book tickets to see Oliver and the panto this year. Our tickets were a birthday for my husband and i must say it was money well spent and excellent value for money. Three cheers to you all.
Linda \\ 23/01/2012
I visited to see the pantomine early January and loved it that much I booked again for 2 weeks later. I thought Brian Conely was amazing in it, he is so funny and also Linda Bellingham. Brian getting the children up at the end was always my favourite part as its not rehearsed but always really funny. The last thing was how amazing was Charlie the Horse, never seen anything like that before. We all really enjoyed it and will be booking for next year as well!!
Jackie - 23.1.2012 \\ 23/01/2012
Thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Took an 85 year year old who thought it was great. Took a visitor from Brazil who was as excited as a 6 year old all the way through as she had never seen anything like it. Highly recommend it to everyone. It was fantastic.
Julia Holmes \\ 23/01/2012
Took my 10 year old Son and we were both crying with laughter. Cast were brilliant, particularly Brian Conley.I had forgotten how funny he is! The horse and the motorbike were brilliant. Even before we had left the theatre my son asked if we could come again next year. Of course the answer is yes.
Claire \\ 23/01/2012
Went to see Cinderella last and i was crying with laughter all the way through best night out in a long time brilliant performance by Brian and Lynda

John and Olive White \\ 22/01/2012
We came to see the production last Saturday 14 Jan - we were not disappointed. Brian Connelly is wonderful in it as he is in most of his performances. The props were amazing as were the costumes. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and would suggest if you haven't seen it yet you hurry up and get a ticket booked.
CAROL TURNER \\ 22/01/2012
Great venue, great panto and without doubt whilst all the cast played their part Brian Conley proved yet again why he is the most missed variety entertainer on TV absolutely crying with laughter brilliant, well done to the Hip for getting him back for next year.
John Coyle \\ 21/01/2012
Absolutely fantastic, we loved it all, especially the horses, real LOL panto!!!
Olivia \\ 21/01/2012
Me and my husband had a great night out at Cinderella. What a wonderful panto.Brian Conley has got to be the king of panto, he is so funny. I'd recommend this to anyone as a great night out. fantastic costumes, very colourful and sparkly. Loved the ugly sisters as well. The costume department must be so very talented. Will be booking up for next year.
jenny luckett  \\ 20/01/2012
We have been to the panto at the hippodrome for many years, but we have to say that this surpassed all the others we have seen, the entire cast were supberb. Brian Conley made us laugh so much that my stomach hurt. Cant wait for this years show.
Frances Taylor \\ 20/01/2012
Just had to write to say the pantomime was absolutely brilliant. I have seen Brian Conley many times in panto now and like a previous comment WHY IS HE NOT ON THE TELLY ANY MORE, he should be he's a hugely talented man. Linda Bellingham was brilliant too. All of the singing voices were terrific, there was something in it for everybody, young and old! Terrific!
Jane B \\ 20/01/2012
This pantomime is absoluately brilliant. I went with a party of 10 people, ages ranging from 6 years to 62 years. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it and laughed the whole way through. Well worth the money. I have actually booked tickets for 2012 christmas pantomime already (Robinson Crusoe) cant wait.
Emma Linford \\ 20/01/2012
We've been taking our 2 grandchildren to the Hippodrome panto's for the past 6 years. This year's was fab as usual, Brian Conley hilarious, especially the sketch with the violin. We were in a Box this year , but wouldn't bother with a Box again as your view is a little restricted. Have already booked for 2013 !
Helen  \\ 20/01/2012
Best Panto i've seen.Went with my mum and 5 year old son. Brian Connelly was fanastic, he made it great for young and old. Wish he was on tv more! Charlie the horse brought a tear to my eye. All the cast were excellent. 10 out of 10. Already booked to go next year, bonus that Brian is in that too! Thankyou Hippodrome for a great Panto. Shame you dont do it on DVD.
Toula Cross \\ 20/01/2012
We took our 6 and 8 year old grandchildren and it was absolutely fabulous. Something for all ages. My grandaughter cried when it finished. We were all up dancing at the end - can't wait for Robinson Crusoe!
Margaret Ryan \\ 20/01/2012
WOW. AMAZING. BRILLIANT. FUNNY. My husband and I haven't been too well and if laughter was medicine, everyone should have a dose. Cannot wait until Robinson Crusoe. Thank you.
Irene Burden \\ 20/01/2012
We had a marvellous afternoon at the Hippodrome ... Cinderella was the best panto we have seen in years and we laughed and laughed until we were crying .... had to keep wiping our tear-covered specs! Brian Conley was just wonderful - we were just doubled up, and we loved the violin sketch and when he brought Debbie up on stage, and the four kids at the end. We have already booked up for Robinson Crusoe in December and also for BC's stint in Oliver in April. Can't wait for that! My husband had, I have to confess, never heard of BC before, but is now a huge fan! The whole panto crew worked so hard to give us all such a wonderful show - thanks so much. Simply superb entertainment for adults and kids alike!
Michele \\ 20/01/2012
Itook my 87 year old mother on Sunday 15th and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Brian Conley was marvellous as usual, loved the other cast members too. I particularly loved the scene with Cinders Prince Charming and Buttons trying to sing a song sat on a wall. Lovely special effects too, especially at the end of the 1st act, spectacular! Only one thing though - has Basil Brush been having elocution lessons.....Sue and Irene Gormley
SUSAN GORMLEY \\ 20/01/2012
kay \\ 20/01/2012
No need to take children, we book just to enjoy it ourselves. Brian Conley is fantastic and on that strength we have booked yet again for next year. Yes I know, already you're saying. It really IS that good with the subtle adult humour...... and yes, we shout out with the kids. Who cares it's panto!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jenny Chamberlain \\ 20/01/2012
This is the third year we have taken our granddaughter (now 7) to the Hippodrome around Christmas time. This was definitely the best. Brian was fantastic. His sense of timing is incredible and he is SO funny. We laughed from beginning to end and although we had never taken much notice of him in the past we will definitely book to see him again. The rest of the cast were great too, of course, but he really stole the show. Well done Birmingham Hippodrome.
Sarah Newman \\ 20/01/2012
The best night out we have had in ages, the whole show was BRILLIANT, special effects spectacular. Brian Conley fantastic as always and Linda Bellingham brilliant, laughed from start to finish. Tracy \\ 20/01/2012
We have been to the panto at the hippodrome for many years. But we can honestly say that this was by far the best one yet. The entire cast were superb. Brian Conley made me laugh so much that my stomach hurt. Cant wait for this years
Frances Taylor \\ 20/01/2012
I try to get to a panto every year and this is easily up there with the best I've seen. Four of us aged between 47 and 52 went to Cinderella, I was the only one that had seen Brian Conley in panto before so kept telling the others how good he would be. However, even I didn't expect just how hilarious Brian (aided by the rest of the cast) would be and in the end all four of us had tears of laughter streaming down our faces. Best bit for me was the scene with Buttons, Cinderella and the Prince on the wall, I really wish I could have got this on a DVD to watch when I might be feeling down as it was truly one of the funniest things I've seen. I thought the ugly sisters were great and Basil Brush had some very funny lines but mr Conley was undoubtedly the star and is in his element on stage and interacting with the audience. I've already booked to see him in Oliver and myself and his three new fans will definitely be back to see him again in Robinson Crusoe. Well done and thank you to The Hippodrome and everybody involved in the panto itself.
Glenn Hawkins \\ 20/01/2012
Not been to a panto in years and thought it about time to take my daughter to her first.... The show was brilliant. Brian Conley had me actually crying with laughter! My daughter loved it equally so thanks to the modern twist and song choices
Mirnerva Walters \\ 20/01/2012

Sue & David \\ 20/01/2012
Saw the Pantomime on Jan 10th as a birthday treat. All six of us in the party - young and old - had a great time. It's good to laugh. Cast were all brilliant, stage scenes were also excellent. It's been many years since we've been to a pantomime, but are definitely booking for next year.
TM \\ 20/01/2012

Six of us went along on sunday with the solo group. It was so enjoyable that I feel compelled to say thank you to you all. I have never wanted to add comments before, but really felt this show was ultra special, down to every last detail of the beautiful art work of the scenery and costumes. It's so wonderful to just have an escapism from your life for a bit, to walk in and forget about your troubles. My son is autistic, and I struggle to get him out anywhere, so for him to say that he really enjoyed it too is really quite unique. Our family felt the whole cast did a fantastic job, and really brought the stage to life. The horses were truly majestic also. I would like to thank Brian in particular, as we felt he really touched us with his words reminding us of the glory of children, the magic of Christmas, and the spirit of pantomine!God bless you Brian, you made us laugh so much, and brought a tear to our eyes. We are coming back next Christmas to see Brian. This is the best pantomine we have ever seen as we felt Brian connected with the audience so genuinely. XX
Donna \\ 10/01/2012

Brian connolly is so funny Im so glad he will be doing more pantomimes.. he is just made for them! The costumes and set were beautiful and there were lots of surprises and we were never bored for a minute! It truly made our christmas. Thankyou so much everyone!
Linda Russell \\ 09/01/2012
I saw the show yesterday and was overwhelmed by it's spectacular special effects , laughed so much my throat hurt from all the shouting, and laughing at Brian's jokes! The ugly sisters were great in their costumes , and the cast were fabulous! The staff of the theatre were so welcome and Sarah the young lady staff member standing at the front circle right door took the time while standing there to talk to me , and didnt mind it at all. Loved Stageside restaurant too and the staff in there were welcoming and pleasant. Best panto I had ever seen and was so magical!
Katie Fraser  \\ 08/01/2012

Well, just the best THE BEST had such a good time reminded me when I was a kid. Brian Connely you are ACE. The whole panto was just to good to be true. SOOOOO much better than last year. Come back every year Mr Connely we love you here in Birmingham.
Chrissy Goundry and Wendy Kennedy \\ 07/01/2012
I visited on New Year's Eve with my wife and teenage children, and have done for several years - and this year was one of, if not the best ever! Whilst the whole production was very good, as usual, Brian Conley definitey carried the show. I had never seen Brian Conley before, and have to confess to being a bit sceptical before hand, but I am a convert. Brian was excellent in every way - jokes, acting, with the children on stage - and we can't wait to see hime again next year! May even book for Oliver now that Brian is in it! It was also good to see a return to old fashioned pantomime; even our children said they preferred it, rather than some of the CGI in the past. We all loved the horse - more of the same please? We travel from Oxford, so proves how good the show and you venue is. Michael
Michael Jones \\ 07/01/2012
Brian Conley brilliantly funny. Lynda Bellingham great. Kathryn Rooney a fantastic actress who should be on screen. Cinderella, best panto so far.
Mary  \\ 06/01/2012
FANTASTIC show and not just for children and families. I am a 40 year old and haven't seen a Panto since I was 6! My hubby treated me in to inspire my hat making and boy did I enjoy myself. I laughed so hard I got a stitch! Brian Conley was hilarious and the rest of the cast were superb! The costumes were wonderful(loved the ugly sisters so lady Ga Ga!) the effects were fantastic! But I must confess seeing Basil Brush made my day lol! "He's a puppet!!!" The whole evening was a wonderful night out the staff at the Hippodrome where very friendly and helpful. I cannot wait to return and will champion 'the Panto' to all my friends and family. "Oh no I won't Oh yes I will!!!" LOL
Kat \\ 06/01/2012
Took my two Grandsons (9 and 5) to see the panto on 5th January. A fantastic show - Brian Conley was brilliant and so good with the kids. I was surprised to see so many older couples in the audience. My elder grandsons said could you go again next year when it's Brian Conley again.
Linda Fowler \\ 06/01/2012
Went to see Cinderella with my husband, it was amazing, it was so funny not just for children but also for adults, the show was brilliant, a must see, one of the best shows I have ever seen.

Louise \\ 06/01/2012
As usual a great show with the same high production standards that our family has come to expect over the many years that we have been. Brian Conley very funny and Lynda Bellingham a great foil. Booked for next year already.
Martin Stevenson \\ 05/01/2012
Saw the show on christmas eve and what a joy it was. From start to finish Brian Conley and the rest of the cast were brilliant!! Bought tickets straight away for next year when he said he would be doing it again.Last years was a total disaster so glad the hippodrome is back to its best.
helen \\ 05/01/2012
BRILLIANT! Loved it and tons better than the year before. I've never been a Brian Conley fan but I've been coverted as he was excellent
Rachael Mackwell \\ 05/01/2012
First time I have been to a pantomime in 52 years. Excellent, Brian Conley was hilarious, superb supporting cast. Will definitely be coming again next year, and will bring the grand children.
valerie waters \\ 05/01/2012
Been to see Cinderella today and maybe it should have been called the Brian Conley show! Without him, it would have been quite weak. The man oozes talent. He is brilliant. The costumes were amazing and the 'special' things - motorbike and horses. BUT I thought Lynda Bellingham worked with a very weak script and is worthy of something better. Also one of the Ugly sisters was brilliant - the other ......weak! Pleased I have tickets to see Oliver with that wonderful man - BC!
Bron Gosling \\ 05/01/2012
My family and I went to see Cinderella on Friday 23 December in the evening. It was absolutely superb! We laughed all night and Brian Conley is just brilliant! What a talent! My husband commented about how hard Brian Conley works and is so lovely with the children he pulls out of the audience! All the cast were great but Brian really makes the show. We went to Bradford at New Year and went to the panto at the Alhambra. It paled into insignificance after the Birmingham production! Well done to everybody involved. We will definately be going again next year especially now we know Mr Conley is appearing again!!
Deb Hunter \\ 05/01/2012
We went to the opening night on 17th December and it's been the topic of conversation all over Christmas! A fantastic show - Brian Conley is a comedy genius. Loved the audience reaction at the "prize draw" - very good! Jokes and humour to suit all ages. Already booked to see Brian in Oliver! in April, and will be back for more panto in 2012. Thank you!
Cheryl Turner \\ 05/01/2012
What a fantastic show. We had an age range of 3 to 73 and there was something for everyone. Brian Conley was amazing but have to say the whole cast made the show. Thank you for a great family day out and one that we are going to repeat next year!
Stella Round \\ 05/01/2012
It was our usual pantomine outing on December 23rd with all the family to start of christmas. We thoroughly enjoyed the pantomine Brian Conley was great. The flying scenes were exciting, although we didnt much care for the scene involving the horse dont realy think this was something we would like to see in a pantomine again.
Lorraine Kitson \\ 04/01/2012
Went to see the show just before Christmas and thought it was brilliant. Brian Conley was excellent and totally stole the show. He was so funny, I think we laughed all the way through the show. Still talking about it now. Tickets already booked for next year - can't wait. Well done Brian.
Julie Sullivan \\ 04/01/2012
Have been coming to the panto for years but this must be the best and funniest production to date. Brian Conley is so so funny, the whole show was hilarious, the costumes, stage, music. Must say Brian is brilliant with the young children that come up on stage.

Brian Conley is absolutely the best performer. The whole cast and staff work so hard to produce the best Panto I have ever seen. My family and I have not laughed so much for so long and it made our Christmas and New Year, especially as I got to go on stage with Brian....PRICELESS. Have already booked my tickets for Robinson Crusoe and can't wait. Also seeing other shows this year including Oliver and Calender Girls. Thank you thank you thank you so much xxx
Wendy Killingworth \\ 04/01/2012
We came to the show with a party of 14 people, youngest being 4 years of age; mesmorized to see cinderella come to life, and the oldest being 73. We all laughed from start to finish, particularly at the wit and humour of Brian Conley, who was outstanding and supported by a brilliant cast. Looking forward to next year's production, thank you for giving us a good start to Christmas.

We laughed from start to finish, the scene on the wall was hilarious It has given me the bug and i will be seeing more shows at the Hippodrome, easy parking and plenty of places to eat before the show, great performance by all.
sharon \\ 04/01/2012
We go to the panto every year, its now part of our family tradition to go just before Christmas "22 Dec" as for us its the start of Christmas celebrations. We always have 8 seats usually front row in the circle but these days as my children are now grown up and they dont want to be in the front row in the stalls anymore as they feel that's best for the younger ones. Anyway it was one of the all time great Pantos. We all fully enjoyed it and Brian was fantastically funny, so funny we all laughed from beginning to end and in my opinion it somehow returned to how pantos were when I was a kid and how they were just more simple to follow and purely about laughter & fun without things like 3D. We all said that it was so good that we might book again to see it a second time and just enjoy the laughter from beginning to End. Well done to all of the Cast and the B'ham Hippodrome for one of the greatest shows for years.
Brian & Family \\ 04/01/2012

Fantastic show from everyone, had my mum in tears of laughter during the wall scene Special thanks to Conley for being a superb entertainer - he made the show a thousand times funnier and got the kids involved in a very sweet rendition of Ol' MacDonald. Everyone else performed excellently and was a very entertaining experience for both children and adults!
Shaun D \\ 31/12/2011
I thought this pantomime was absolutely brilliant. Brian Conley's innuendo and jokes were the funniest I've seen and heard for ages. This was my probably 8th Xmas panto at the hip and by far the best
Thomas \\ 31/12/2011

Went on 27th December. What an amazing show! Myself and my partner laughed from beginning to end. The entire cast were fantastic but I have to say that I've loved Brian Conley from being a child and once again he was truly excellent!!! This night was made so extra special as I ended up on stage with Brian. All my dreams came true and I still can't believe it happened (wish I'd got a photo). I was very nervous but like the star that he his, he totally guided me through it - Thank you to everyone involved in this production, we'll never forget it :-)
Beth and Dave \\ 30/12/2011
What a show, this was my son's first panto and he loved it. Brian Conley was hilarious, didnt think he could be any better than how he was in Hairspray, but he is..... Bring on December 2012...
Nicola \\ 29/12/2011
Wow! This panto was fab! 4 of us went (myself, hubbie, Mum and 11 year old son) and thoroughly enjoyed it. The cast was superb and Brian Conley so funny. I laughed all the way through and my son was up dancing at the end. Special effects were fantastic. If you are considering going do it! You won't be disappointed!

Brian Conley is so so funny we did not stop laughing, and our daughter was asked to go on the stage at the end & I have to say that really made it magical, so glad she dressed up as a fairy that day too!! Thank you to Buttons for making a little girl (and her mummy's) dreams come true!! Really wonderful show, brilliant effects, cannot wait for 2012 panto.
Martina \\ 28/12/2011
First visit to panto on Boxing Day and what a fantastic night. Really funny show, appealing to all ages. Brian was as funny as he ever was and the entire cast were brilliant. Couldn't recommend a visit enough, both to the show AND the Hippodrome. Super theatre.

We (three adults) saw the Cinderella pantomime in Birmingham on Boxing Day and thoroughly enjoyed it. Over the years we have watched many pantomimes in Lincoln, Weston-Super-Mare, Cheltenham, Bristol and Milton Keynes but this one with Brian Conley was the best! It was well worth the drive from Cheltenham to Birminhgam to watch it, and we want to watch 2012/13 Christmas pantomime too as Brian Conley is so brilliant!
Kay, Cheltenham \\ 27/12/2011
Miss this show and miss out. Brain Conley is superb. We cannot wait for his return in Oliver and Robinson Crusoe next year! How lucky are we? Well done to everyone!
Ray and Emma Radford \\ 25/12/2011
Well done Hippodrome ~ Brian Conley an absolute star and made this panto ~ what a hoot. The laughs started for us on arrival as our six year old announced he couldn't wait to see Basil Brush "in the flesh" (bless!) No expense spared as so many lovely unexpected treats in this panto (no spoilers you can read on), lots of laugh out loud moments (Devil came down to Georgia had us all hysterical)and a very strong cast. The panto is part of our Christmas routine and this is the eigth one at the Hipp and possibly the best so far! Can't wait to see Brian as Fagan at Easter and well done on securing him for next years panto ~ fab-u-lous! Thanks xx

Absolutely fantastic performance, better than any ordinary pantomime, all of the cast were fresh and entertaining and the laugh a minute performance was 2nd to non, really enjoyed it, worth every penny
Ryan \\ 22/12/2011
My family and I went to the opening performance of this panto. We laughed and clapped all the way through. One of the best times we have spent in a theatre. All of the cast were fantastic but Brian Conley was by far the best panto performer we have ever seen, although I must give a special mention to Lynda Bellingham. I cannot recommend this panto highly enough! looking forward to next year's already!
Linda Newman \\ 22/12/2011

jacqueline downing \\ 21/12/2011
Hurrah! Christmas has now begun! What an excellent pantomime. Every second is filled with colourful, lavish, no-expense-spared genius. Brian, the audience loves you! The cast make it look easy, but I know how hard you're working. True professionalism at its finest. Have a great Season!
F A RIchmond \\ 20/12/2011
I have never in my life seen such an amazing pantomime. It was truly magical from start to finish. I have done nothing but rave about it since I got home - so much so my 93 year old Gran has booked to go and see it too now. A 4 hour round trip for her so not something I would be wanting her to do unless I was sure she was going to enjoy it and enjoy it she will as will everyone else who goes. If you haven't booked then why on earth not?!
Katie \\ 20/12/2011
What a fantastic show! I would echo every comment about Brian Conley, he is a truly wonderful entertainer, his ad libs were so witty and his engagement with the children was lovely. Charlie the horse is absolutely fantastic, the show really lifted my spirits, there was such a lovely warm atmosphere created by Brian, thank you to The Hippodrome for booking him for next year!!
Gill Steventon \\ 20/12/2011

janet \\ 18/12/2011
Been to so many pantos over the last 6 years and this was simply the best! Back to humour, slapstick - no ice rinks, no 3d - some great effects that will surprise everyone but the audience are involved more and Brian leads the show like the absolutely fantastic all rounder he is! A rib tickling tradditional panto with some special bells on! Brilliant - - I'm still laughing!!!!
Jayne Hampton \\ 18/12/2011
Went to very first performance of Cinderella 17/12/11, this was one of the funniest shows Ive seen in ages, Brian Conley is absolutely brilliant, so funny, so versatile a British treasure. The whole of the cast were fantastic, lovely touches, Charlie the horse and the flying horse and motorbike. I could sit through it time and time again. Well done everyone involved. Cant wait for Robinson Crusoe next year.

Been to see Cinderella today Sun 18th Dec, with my 2 girls aged 9 and 5. Brian Conley was hilarous, I dont think Ivee ever laughed so much the whole way through a panto. Was by far the best ever one weve seen at the Hippodrome and weve been the last 4 years. I would recommend this to all ages.
Louise Weston \\ 18/12/2011
Brilliant. Brian Connelly steals the show with an absolutely great performance. Nice that the panto has much less singing and dancing than others I have seen and more just good fun. A really good night.
